Capture a memory

“For some life lasts a short while, but the memories it holds last forever.” – Laura Swenson

There are moments in life that simply have to be captured.  Sometimes they are happy moments, and other times not so much.  Still, good or bad, we capture them in some way because once that moment is gone, you can’t get it back.

Caught on film, doodled down on paper, or even in a momento from whatever was going on, these keepsakes are our passage back through time. I wonder if this is why taking a selfie has gotten so popular these days.  A quick picture of us, or our friends, snapped and freezing us in that exact moment.

We can take so many pictures that we may forget why we smiled in one. We may even mix up the memories.  I don’t suppose that matters too much. Exaggerated memories are how tales and legends are born.

Grab your camera.  Take as many shots as you want. Sketch out your ideas. Take some clippings from a paper or magazine.  Go capture some memories.
