There are relationships we form out of need, some for status, and others simply because we don’t want to be alone. Then there are those people we long to have in our lives – friends, lovers, family – yet we give then this thing called ‘space’ when things get rough.
I need a bit of space. I need a bit of time.
Perhaps they are asking for space because they don’t want to appear vulnerable, or for you to see them at a low point?
I don’t need space. I don’t want space. If you’re person I care for, then I don’t let you have ‘space’ during the hard times either.
“Cause space was just a word made up by someone who’s afraid to get close. . .”
