Dance of Summer’s End

Her dance caused the winds to roll across the fields. She twirled, and leaves took on a darker color before dropping from tress; circling in a soft whirlwind. The graceful sway of her arms pulled the bright colors from the earth. The wind carries the whispered words of her song.

Her job was simple: to send the last, lingering vestiges of Summer home.

Maybe, if luck grants the chance, you will catch a glimpse of her dance for she is all around. Her touch is the warmth after a cold day. Her scent is in the flowers which open to absorb the last of Summers rays. Her kiss takes an hour from the day.

When she comes around, all creatures know that the things of Summer must find their way home.
